The Pyres Beach is a pivotal landmark in Die Young. It's located north-west of The High Tower and it's where The Last Trial takes place. Although it can be reached before climbing up The Stone Pillars, there's not much to do until Daphne picks up the Walkie-Talkie on the top of the tower.
The beach has a sort of wooden enclosure decorated with plants, flowers and red banners with the Community's bull insignia. Two rows of benches face towards a central stage with three pyres. In one of those pyres, there's a burned body with a golden tooth that Daphne recognizes as Rachid's pusher. It's noteworthy that this place is quite close to where Daphne's group was captured, as their deflated dinghy can be found beyond the rocks to the north.
The Last Trial - Dave
After you got the Walkie-Talkie at the High Tower, Brother Number 1 will tell you to reach Pyres Beach. Once there, Daphne realizes that his friend Dave is tied to one of the pyres. Brother Number 1 then orders Daphne to pick up the Lighter in front of the stage and burn Dave to fulfill the last trial. So, collect the Lighter (this will add the task "Fire Walk with Me") and examine the handcuffs on Dave's back. Unfortunately they're made of solid steel and they can't be forced open. Talk to Dave and ask him about what happened after the kidnapping. The dialogue is optional, but it gives you a better understanding of the events.
Killing or not killing Dave is all up to the player. If you decide to kill him, The Last Trial will be considered completed and Brother Number 1 will invite you to go east and join the Community in The Village (the task "Join the Community" will be added on your To-Do List). This is one of the two ways to unlock the Village Ending (the other being killing André later in the game, see below). If you don't want to kill him, just pick up the Lighter, ignore Brother Number 1's order and head nord-east to The Monumental Tombs.
Trivia: Dave can be killed in four ways: with a Torch igniting the pyre, with a Melee Weapon hitting him to death, with a Poison Needle and with a Crossbow. This will trigger different reactions. Also, if you kill Dave before Brother Number 1 gives you the order to do so, he will praise Daphne.

The Last Trial - André
If you spared Dave's life and went on looking for a way to leave the island, you'll eventually trigger a new event in which André kills Dave on the pyre. This happens near the end of the game, after you give the signal to the Mystery Man at The Radio Tower. Daphne will overhear André (who secretly left his hideout) trying to communicate with Brother Number 1 through his walkie-talkie. Moved by fear and desperation, he killed Dave thinking that in doing so he would gain Brother Number 1's favor. If you look in the direction of the Pyres Beach, you'll see a column of smoke. Going to the beach now is optional but if you do that, Brother Number 1 will call Daphne while approaching the area, revealing that he's giving her a second chance to complete The Last Trial by killing André instead.
Once you reached the beach, an angry Daphne confronts André, who's begging for mercy. Speak with André to know more about all his lies. You can now decide again to either kill him or keep him alive. If you kill him, The Last Trials is fulfilled, and Daphne will be invited by Brother Number 1 to join the community (go The Village to obtain the Village Ending). If you ignore Brother Number 1's invitation or decide to leave without killing André, you can go ahead with the story and wait the next day for the final escape at The Temple of Hope.
Trivia: As for Dave, André can be killed in four ways: with a Torch igniting the pyre, with a Melee Weapon hitting him to death, with a Poison Needle and with a Crossbow. This will trigger different reactions.
In André's interactive dialogue, new lines will be added if you have:
